Terms of Service
Last updated October 27, 2026
These are the terms for using LittleLog. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
LittleLog is operated by Carlo Toledo (“we”, “us”). “You” means the person using LittleLog and, if you sign up for a daycare, that daycare. How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
What LittleLog is
LittleLog is an online tool for writing, saving and printing weekly program plans for daycare centres. It includes a catalogue of learning expectations to choose from. LittleLog is a planning aid. You are responsible for your daycare’s programs, for how you use the plans, and for meeting any licensing or regulatory requirements that apply to you.
LittleLog is not part of, and is not endorsed by, any government ministry or by the authors of the ELECT framework. The learning expectations in the catalogue are provided for convenience and are drawn from published material. Check them against the official documents when it matters.
Accounts
- The person who registers a daycare becomes its owner and is responsible for the account, for the people they add, and for what happens under it.
- Give us accurate information and keep your password private. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account.
- Owners and administrators can add and remove educators and decide which programs each can open. Only add people who are allowed to work with your plans.
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter into this agreement.
Your content
Your plans and anything else you put into LittleLog remain yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run the service for you. We do not claim ownership of it.
Do not enter children’s names, photos, health information or other information that identifies a child. You are responsible for what you and the people you add enter.
What you may not do
- Break the law, or use LittleLog to harm or deceive anyone.
- Try to get into another daycare’s information, or into parts of the service you are not given.
- Interfere with the service, overload it, or probe it for weaknesses without our written permission.
- Copy, resell or rent out LittleLog, or build a competing product from it.
- Share one login between several people, or share more seats than you have paid for.
If you break these rules we may suspend or close your account.
Price, free trial and payment
- The Basic plan costs $40 CAD a month plus applicable tax. It includes 15 seats and 15 programs. Every person with a login, including the owner and administrators, uses one seat.
- Extra seats are sold in packs of 5 for $5 CAD a month plus tax per pack. Changes to the number of packs are prorated.
- New daycares can start with a 14-day free trial. A payment method is collected when the trial begins, and the first payment is taken when it ends unless you cancel before then.
- The subscription renews every month until cancelled. Payments are handled by Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method each month.
- Discount codes apply as described when you enter them. A code has no cash value.
- If a payment fails, we may suspend paid features until it is fixed.
- We may change prices. We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before a new price applies to you, and you may cancel before it does.
Cancelling and refunds are covered in our Refunds and Cancellation page.
Keeping the service running
We work to keep LittleLog available and your plans safe, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted or free of errors. We may update or change features. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose, and print your plans now and then.
Ending the agreement
- You can stop using LittleLog and cancel your subscription at any time.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used to harm others, or is unpaid after reasonable notice.
- If an account is closed, you can ask us for a copy of your plans for a short period afterwards, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
Our responsibility to you
LittleLog is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost income or a regulator’s decision about your daycare. Our total responsibility for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that cannot be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will update the date above and tell account owners by email in advance. If you keep using LittleLog after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the province where we operate and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of that province, unless the law gives you the right to go elsewhere.
